NotesAs designed

Your notes, one client at a time.

Take notes during a session or add them after. Each client’s notes are kept in their own store, so an answer about one person can only come from their notes, cited by date.

During and after

A notepad that knows whose words are whose.

A plain notepad and a timer. Mark a line as their words, as something to follow up, or as just for you. Last time’s summary and your follow-ups sit beside the pad.

  • Their words stay verbatim, with the date they said them.
  • Lines marked For me go to My lamp, never into the client’s notes.
  • Add notes after the session the same way.

One client, one store

Each client’s notes, on their own.

Every client’s notes live in their own store with their own search index, so no question can reach another client’s notes. Your knowledge base and My lamp are kept apart from all of them.

Searches

Lamplighter

With M. open, it searches M.’s store and nothing else.

  • Cites each note it uses, by date.
  • Marks anything it can’t back as a guess.
  • Reads your knowledge base and your modality’s instructions.

LamplighterSearching only M.’s notes

What has M. said about leaving her team since July?

On 22 July she decided to take the new role if she could leave well 22 Jul. On 5 August she told her team 5 Aug.

M., 26 August“I said goodbye properly this time.”

She may still be putting off the goodbye party.

This isn’t from M.’s notes. Treat it as my guess.

Ask

Ask, and see where it came from.

Ask about a client, and the answer cites the notes it used, by date, and quotes their words. When your notes don’t back something up, it says so in the answer.

  • The scope is always on screen: “Searching only M.’s notes.”
  • A guess reads: “This isn’t from M.’s notes. Treat it as my guess.”
  • The receipt says what it used, including your knowledge base.
Transcripts

Transcripts, with everyone’s yes.

When a client uses The Wick, a session can be transcribed if everyone in the room agrees. No audio is kept. You have 24 hours to finish your notes, unless they give you more time. Then the transcript goes to their Wick, and only they have it.

  • Pull a line into your notes as their words.
  • Ask for more time, and they decide.
  • For clients who don’t use The Wick, a private link that lasts seven days is planned.
